Support Young Women in STEM

Support the growing
STEM Community

Given the scale of the challenge to close the gender gap in STEM, isolated efforts are not as impactful as a collaborative, holistic approach where multiple stakeholders can come together to achieve a shared vision.
To this end, we have created a collective impact model for STEM ConnectHER where multiple partners can make their unique contributions to advancing gender equality in STEM.

For Mentors

We invite all employees of our partner organizations, who meet the criteria, to join the STEM ConnectHER mentor community:

  • Have expertise in STEM and /or professional business skills
  • Fluency in English and knowledge of local languages are assets
  • Willing to share expertise, skills, and /or experiences to support undergraduate students in STEM
  • Commit to provide a minimum of 15 hours of mentoring either 1:1 or group mode over a 12- month period between December 2023 to December 2024
  • Attend a one-hour mentor on-boarding session, complete a profile on the mentoring platform, and submit a brief post-session report

  • Strengthen industry cooperation and connections with leading companies.
  • Bring the workplace into the classroom for your students, and improve their future career prospects.
  • Increase retention and persistence rates for female students in STEM, and support diversity and inclusion in the field.
